Application Methods

Our embroidery and printing machinery will bring your logo to life on any garment. However, there are factors, like the material of your garment, which you should consider before you decide on what kind of application you wish to use. As a brief guide to help you choose what method of customisation is best for you we have put together a few points on each type of logo application.

Printing

Garment printing can be done through a number of different techniques, such as transfers, screen print or Direct-To-Garment (DTG). The most suitable application method will depend on the complexity of your logo and the type of garment being printed.

Printing is durable and it can create unique and complex designs using extremely vivid colours. Corporatewear UK use the highest quality printing machines to guarantee the highest quality end product to ensure you’re always satisfied with you order.

Embroidery

Embroidery is robust, hard wearing and suitable for garments that are frequently washed. It involves digitizing of a design, which is done using specialist software to convert the image into an embroidery design. Those designs, such as a logos or company names are then stitched onto clothing via our automated state of the art machinery.

Embroidered garments are ideal for a number of purposes, the most popular of which being used by employers to give their workforce a strong identity and help to promote their brand. In terms of suitability, embroidery tends to work the best on polo shirts, business shirts/blouses, aprons/tabards, jackets & headwear.

Artwork Guidelines for Print

All customers are requested to provide artwork and logos in an appropriate file format (e.g. EPS, SVG, PDF.), and for them to be vectored and outlined where possible. This allows us to achieve the highest quality print possible for your order.

If you are unsure of the difference between a vectored and a non-vectored image, just zoom into the image. A non-vectored image will be blurry and unclear, whereas the vectored image will be clear and undistorted.
If you’re unable to send us a vector, you may incur additional charges for us to redraw the logo or image as a vector for you. Please note, we’ll never place a personalised clothing order into production until you have seen and approved an artwork proof, to ensure you are happy with it.

Artwork Guidelines for Embroidery

For embroidered logos a vector file is not always necessary. We can accept any standard image file format (JPG, PNG, etc.). This is because your design will be digitised and converted to stitches.
We do still request however that you try and send us the highest quality version you can, in order for us to achieve the highest quality results.

As per printed orders we’ll never place a personalised clothing order into production until you have seen and approved an artwork proof, to ensure you are happy with what your design will look like once its embroidered.

Artwork Approval

When your artwork has been received, Corporatewear UK will create and send an artwork proof for you to check. This is for you to ensure that everything is correct and you are happy with the positions, colours and sizes of your logos on your garments, before they go into production. If for any reason you are unhappy with something within the artwork proof, just let us know and we’ll be more than happy to discuss how to correct it.

Your order will never go into production until you are happy and have approved the artwork proof. Please note: It is your responsibility to check for any inconsistencies when we send you the proof and to notify us of any amendments required at this point. If changes are needed, we may have to send multiple proofs before the order can proceed. This is to protect you and ensure that you get the outcome you are looking for.

If you still have questions regarding your artwork then please contact us. We offer free friendly advice so please do not be afraid to ask. Supplying artwork can often be quite a confusing process so its perfectly fine to have lots of questions!
